Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Issues of poverty and economic justice in Israel were brought to the fore by the social justice protests of Summer 2011, and were high on the agenda during the recent Israeli elections. We will examine several texts that speak to these issues and explore specific Israeli initiatives that address some of the challenges. We will wrap up with a discussion of how activist efforts have brought about this change in the discourse.
