The Art of Jewish Paper Cutting: Part 1

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Using a pen knife, scissors and simple drafting materials, we will create a work based upon traditional Jewish papercuts and will gain an appreciation for the rich symbols that originate from the Torah and Psalms. From the simplest shapes to the complexity of pattern and filigree, students will be given the tools to take this ancient folk art into the 21st Century. No art skills required.
